On July 30, Phase I of Pacific Care Home • Hangzhou International Nursing Community in the big health industry segment of Hangzhou West Science and Innovation Corridor was officially started in Jinnan Sub-district. As the first project invested by one of the world’s top 500 enterprises settling down in Lin’an, “152 Project of the Province, City and County”, and Key Project of Hangzhou, the project of Pacific Care Home will continue to promote the construction of elderly care service system in Lin’an, and better meet old people’s new demands for a beautiful life in Hangzhou and Yangtze River Delta.

At 10:00 a.m. on that day, the public supporting space of 10,000 square meters of Pacific Care Home • Hangzhou International Nursing Community was transformed into Song Culture Corridor. The old people of the first batch entering the community shuttle back and forth in more than 20 living supporting spaces including Painted Pleasure Boat, Book Bureau and French Salon, to experience the traditional culture like the tea of Song Dynasty, the intangible cultural heritage Hangzhou embroidery, printing of Song Dynasty, and Imperial College.

The old man from Shanghai, Wu Zhongyi became the first resident of the community. “When I was young, I was once on a business trip to Hangzhou, and intended to live in Hangzhou when I got old after seeing the beautiful mountains, clear waters and picturesque landscape here. Now my dream is realized in Lin’an.”

According to information, the total construction of Pacific Care Home • Hangzhou International Nursing Community is 191,000 square meters, and the total investment is 3 billion Yuan; in the Project of Phase I, 827 sets of apartments are established. It will provide home services for the aged of full-age coverage, all-weather response and all-round care in five respects covering residence, delicious food, entertainment, health and intelligence, and create a closed service loop of “medical treatment, nursing, health and fitness of internal + external and online + offline forms.

At the opening ceremony, this modern comprehensive care community was also approved as the Training Base for Healthy Culture Talents of Zhejiang Association of Elderly Service Industry, and Living Base for the Elderly of Hangzhou Alumni from Fudan University. Professor Cao Mingfu (President of Hangzhou Alumni Association of Fudan University) expressed that Zhejiang had more than 10,000 alumni of Fudan University, nearly a half of which are old alumni. Some alumni of Fudan University engage in theoretical and practical research on care for the aged, including study on development strategy of pension industry. Therefore, the cooperation between both parties will promote the nursing institution for the aged to improve the nursing theory and practice.

Xia Xuemin (Director of Special Media Committee, Zhejiang Association of Elderly Service Industry) considered that a large aging community should not only help the aged eat and sleep well and have a healthy body, but also create a cultural atmosphere and spiritual home, making the aged happy. “Lin’an District has its unique ecological advantage, and the cultural deposits of Song Dynasty. Therefore, we should express the two advantages well, and make them complement each other. We should help the aged from different places settle down in the green mountains and rivers, and live happily during old age,” said Xia Xuemin.

It is reported that our district will continue to aim at life health which is a happiness industry related to the well-being of the people, and accelerate the construction of Tianmu Medical Port developing in four respects including “medical care, pension, research, and industry” by combining multiple advantages in industrial ecology, natural ecology and spatial ecology; create a grand health platform of Jinnan New City, and make the “sunset glow” with “intelligent medical treatment and care for the aged”.
