In order to improve the living quality, enhance the business environment, and promote industrial development, Qingshanhu Sci-tech City has been focusing on enhancing urban facilities, accelerating road construction, and providing convenient transportation conditions. So far, more than 20 road construction projects have made progress and have gradually improved the transportation network in Lin’an District. This has provided important infrastructure support for Qingshanhu Sci-tech City’s goal of attracting businesses and promoting growth.

At noon on October 11, the reporter arrived at the construction site of the first phase of the Tangcheng Street Reconstruction Project in Qingshanhu Sci-tech City. Large excavators were busy replacing and filling the roadbed. A team of twenty or thirty construction workers worked together with the machinery to bury utilities such as tap water and gas pipelines, creating a bustling construction scene.

The Tangcheng Street Reconstruction and Expansion Project is an important infrastructure project in Lin’an District. The project spans from Dayuan Road in the west to Qingshan Avenue in the east, covering a length of approximately 1.96km. The aim of the project is to widen the road from a two-lane to a four-lane road, with the standard section width increasing from 9 meters to 32 meters. According to Chen Jiajia, the project leader of the Lin’an District Science and Technology Investment Group, the side slopes, open channels, box culverts, and retaining wall projects have been mostly completed. The construction of the roadbed and pipelines is currently 80% finished. The road is expected to be fully open by the end of December, and the entire project is set to be completed by June next year.

The first phase of the infrastructure and supporting projects of the New Intelligent Manufacturing Industrial Park (Hengfan Industrial Expansion Zone) includes the construction of two roads: Longyue Street and Quankou Street. Currently, excavation and road rolling work is taking place at the construction site in an organized manner. The roadbed and pipeline construction for Longyue Street has been completed, while the roadbed and pipeline construction for Quankou Street is approximately 30% finished. Once the project is finished, it will facilitate future investment opportunities for the entire area.

In addition to the ongoing construction projects, supporting roads for Hangzhou No. 14 Middle School have undergone a new transformation. These roads include Qingshan East Road that stretches from Binhe West Road in the south and ends at Tangcheng Street, as well as three branches including Qingzhong Street, Baichen Street, and Xuecheng Road, which play a vital role in connecting the road network in the Qingshanhu Sci-tech City. The opening of these roads will greatly enhance transportation for nearby schools and residences, providing convenience for the local residents. “We need go through these roads to get to school. The cooperation between the road construction team and the school during the initial project construction ensured that the roads were ready to be opened when the school started, allowing teachers and parents to travel with ease. This has been greatly appreciated, stated Hu Hui, Vice Principal of Qingshanhu School Affiliated to Hangzhou No.14 Middle School.

With the completion of several roads, the road network in Qingshanhu Sci-tech City has improved. The Lin’an District Science and Technology Investment Group plans to focus on constructing 22 roads in the Industrial Innovation Park, Hard Technology Industrial Park, and New Intelligent Manufacturing Industrial Park. This will further enhance the regional traffic environment and increase the capacity of the road network. It will serve as a guarantee for the development and construction of these three major parks.
